Hi...My name is Lisa Powell and I worked for almost 9 years in the real estate market for O'Brien Realty in Southern Maryland.

I loved being on the water and enjoyed the multitude of amenities provided by living in southern Md. I have three grown children, a son, Chris, and two daughters, Julie and Kari. All three went through the Calvert county school system and as a parent, I was very pleased with their accomplishments. Julie graduated from Towson University, is now working on her masters degree and is getting married in May '08. Kari graduated from The Art Institute in San Diego this year and is now working as a commercial designer for a well known corporate design company in North Miami, Fl. If there was one word to sum up my life over the past three years, it would be the word, "change". The circumstances in my life, family, and home have changed more in the past few years, than I think in any other time of my life. But change is good sometimes…….

As of November 15th, my new residence will be Jacksonville, FL. Never in a million years did I think I would become a Floridian, but after visiting friends in August '06, (who were also former clients from Solomons), we fell in love with the area and decided to look around. It took us 9 months to find the home we chose but we're very excited about moving into a golf course community and slowing the pace down a bit to enjoy life more. Best of all, I'm finally back within 5 miles of the ocean...it's not San Diego, but it's still the beach!

I've also changed my real estate affiliation and have joined The McNelis Group in Solomons, MD. While I won't be an active participant in sales anymore, I am very interested in being a referral source for you. The best news of all includes the addition of Valerie, my former right arm and administrative assistant, now working with The McNelis Group. (see her bio) You probably remember Valerie by her wonderful British accent.

As for the brokerage group..…as far as I'm concerned, Chris McNelis IS "the" waterfront specialist and realtor for the southern Md. area. She has the listing on my own Mill Creek waterfront home…..can't get a much better recommendation than that. She's extremely professional, has wonderful ethics and integrity, and above all else, is simply good at her job!
